Head Injury Education

 A group therapy manual
This new title is a much needed practical manual outlining the rationale and format of a head injury education therapy programme for use with groups of clients with traumatic brain injuries (TBI). It is aimed at occupational therapists, speech & language therapists, nurses, psychologists, neuropsychologists and all allied professionals working in this area of rehabilitation.
Outlines the causes and incidence of TBI as well as the cognitive, emotional and behavioural effects of brain damage. In particular it refers to patients’ needs for information/education and the problem of impaired self-awareness following TBI.
Presents a 12-week head injury education programme and includes photocopiable record sheets, educational material and homework sessions.
